Dear Diary,
Well, here I am again. I find great solace and dare I say it, joy, in writing here. I feel like we’re pen-pals, though the return letters come in the form of comments and likes. It feels easy and uncomplicated so I thank you for that.
I have so much to tell you. And you know I always look for a theme. Something natty to wrap all my thoughts up neatly in a bow. I think the bow is grief, though not the gut wrenching wailing variety, more the achy longing stomach gripper type. So much more palatable I think.
Last week was a lot. A lot, a lot. There was a Cafcass interview. To the uninitiated, which I hope and pray you are, Cafcass are kind of the social workers assigned by the court to assess safe guarding and make recommendations to the family court.
